Mixes- Did You Know?  (Fun Trivia!)

Did you know where the name, “Aunt Sherry’s Pie Crust” came from? Melissa’s aunt and Judy’s sister-in-law, Sherry Sewell, created this mix. Sherry has been a distributor for 6 years, and runs a shop in Salado, Texas.  She samples many of the mixes in her shop, and she always samples the “Aunt Sherry’s Pie Crust” with the pies.  Her customers rave over the taste and the simplicity of the pie crust mix.  All you do is add ½ cup of butter and mold into a pie plate!

Customer Comments

Our aunt, Sherry Sewell, was a distributor for with us for many years.  She had a precious retail shop in Salado, Texas, where she sold the mixes.  She was very creative in her display and the way she sampled the mixes.  She is the creator of “Aunt Sherry’s Pie Crust’!

This is a quote from her:

“When I sample this mix with one of the Gourmet Cupboard’s Pies, I sell them every time!  I tell people that I have made that crust for over 30 years, and I started using it with quiche! And then I tell them about Aunt Sherry!!!!!  You can also add chopped pecans to it for a pecan crust and it is fabulous!!!”

Last night I made pumpkin pie.  This is a mix that I haven't used before. I also used Aunt Sherry’s pie crust mix.  Well, you all just got to know how easy that was.  I just melted a stick of butter in the pie dish and then mashed the mix into it until it was doughy.  Then I
pressed it to cover the dish.  This was the best pie crust I personally have ever made. It was top quality and easy. Just pretty near goof proof.  The pumpkin pie was great!

I used the Sherry's pie crust mix for the crust. It's not 100% sugar free, but doesn't have a ton. I hate making pie crusts. But that one is so easy and tastes really good. I don't mind that one.
